OMET League Christmas Tournament

This Christmas, the Sant Cugat City Council, through the Municipal Office of Sports for Everyone (OMET), is organizing the OMET League, a multi-sport tournament aimed at boys and girls from 5th grade of Primary School to 2nd year of ESO. This initiative was a success during the Festa Major with the FM League night tournament, and now returns for Christmas.

Activity Details

Target Audience: For children and young people from 5th and 6th grade Primary and 1st and 2nd year ESO
Date: Monday, December 22, 2025.
Time: From 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Location: Municipal Sports Zone of Rambla del Celler (pavilions 1, 2, 3)

Registration

FREE. From Thursday, November 27 HERE

  • Teams of 4 to 6 boys/girls.
  • All teams must have an adult acting as a delegate.
  • Each participant can register for only one of the 4 tournaments offered.
  • Registration deadline: Wednesday, December 17.
  • Registrations will be limited by order of completion.

Sports Modalities

BASKETBALL 3×3, FOOTBALL 3×3, VOLLEYBALL 4×4, HANDBALL 4×4 (alevín category only)

  • ALEVÍN TOURNAMENT: 5th and 6th grade Primary
  • INFANTIL TOURNAMENT: 1st and 2nd year ESO

 

General Regulations

  • For each sport modality, 8 teams can register per category (alevín and infantil)
  • Competition System:
    • 2 groups of 4 teams per category and sport.
    • Round-robin.
    • Semi-final and final.
    • Minimum of 3 matches per team.
  • Each match will last 12 minutes.
  • Power Cards: Each team will receive 5 cards with special advantages at the beginning of the tournament, which can be used during the tournament. Each mixed team will receive two additional cards.
  • POWER CARDS:
    • FIRE TIME: the team has the option to activate fire time, which will be 1 minute of timed play where all their points/goals during this period will count double.
    • SUPERIORITY: the other team will have to play for 1 minute with one player less.
    • HANDS HELD: 2 members will have to play for 3 attacks holding hands to defend.
    • 2 CONSECUTIVE ATTACKS: grants the right to 2 consecutive ball possessions.
    • WILDCARD: the team with this card can invalidate a superpower of the other team.
    • PENALTY / EXTRA SHOT: the team with this card can take a penalty / shot.
  • Each sport will have specific regulations.
