Next Sunday, March 22, the Sant Cugat City Council, through OMET, and with the collaboration of the senglarOrientació Sant Cugat Sports Club, is organizing the 26th edition of the School Orienteering Race. This is a cross-country, time-trial sports activity without a predefined route, where participants must pass through checkpoints marked on a map in a specific order, all in the shortest possible time.
The race will start in the playground of the Turó de Can Mateu school and will run along the entire perimeter of the Turó Can Mateu Park. Participants will have an electronic card that they must validate at the various checkpoints; pre-benjamin and benjamin categories, however, will use a paper card and a punch marking method (traditional method).
Everyone will have a predetermined start time, which can be consulted from Thursday, March 19, on this website or at our office.
Athletes from the pre-benjamin category (2018-2019) up to the popular category can participate. They can compete individually or in pairs, and in the pre-benjamin category, they can be accompanied by an adult.
