Oh!FICINA JOVE invites you to the talk ‘It’s not your body, it’s the discourse’<\/strong>, this coming Friday, the 30th, at 10:30 AM. It will be a session with practical tools to address aesthetic pressure in educational and social contexts<\/strong>. It is intended for professionals who work with adolescents: teaching, social education, guidance, health, educational leisure, services, etc. <\/p>\n

Aesthetic pressure is not an individual issue: it is a social narrative that generates discomfort and directly impacts coexistence and self-esteem. Here are some data to understand the dimension of the phenomenon: <\/p>\n

\u2014 70% of adolescents are not comfortable with their bodies
\u2014 60% of girls believe they would be happier if they were thinner
\u2014 And physical appearance is the leading cause of bullying in schools<\/p>\n

During the session, the following will be addressed:<\/p>\n

\u2014 How aesthetic pressure operates in adolescence, even when it seems ‘normal’ or goes unnoticed.
\u2014 Strategies to identify and stop toxic self-talk and comments about bodies in classrooms, groups, and educational spaces.
\u2014 8 practical keys to dismantle stereotypes and foster body respect.
\u2014 Cultural and educational resources to continue working with young people, families, and teams.<\/p>\n

The talk will be given by N\u00faria Valero Vancells<\/strong> (sumadiversitat.com), a resident of Sant Cugat, journalist, and popularizer of aesthetic pressure and feminisms.<\/p>\n
